BREAKING LACES SET TO LAUNCH FULL NATIONWIDE SUMMER TOUR
Six-week tour begins July 30th in Scottsdale with The Dangerous Summer

Brooklyn, NY—Perennial indie darlings and road warriors Breaking Laces are poised to up the ante on an already stellar 2013, embarking on a non-stop coast-to-coast tour in support of their most recent album, Come Get Some. Joining forces with current buzz bands The Dangerous Summer, Tommy and the High Pilots, and Rare Monk, the shows promise to be one of the most entertaining touring bills of the summer of 2013.

“It’s a lot of dates with like-minded bands working together,” said Laces drummer Seth Masarsky.  “It's gonna be like an old school ‘50's style tour but hopefully without any unforeseen plane crashes.”

Breaking Laces’ sound has been likened to Nirvana infiltrating the Barenaked Ladies; infused with catchy power pop reminiscent of Cheap Trick; and the acoustic and electronic musicality of Death Cab for Cutie. Infectious and wide-reaching, their sonic landscape is in full form on Come Get Some, which has since become a hit on the road, over the radio, and online.

This spring, their single “Mr. Curry is a Cop” received significant airplay on modern rock radio with over one million impressions, and was the band’s highest charting song to date.  In June, the video that truly brought Curry to life was a finalist on MTV.com’s Freshmen, enabling the Laces to invade 30 million households including over 750 college campuses.

Beginning July 30th, they’ll be revisiting some of their most loyal fan bases throughout the country, and breaking ground in many new ones; all while simultaneously causing and trying to avoid trouble. Perhaps lead singer Willem Hartong put it the best when he said, only half-jokingly, “We look forward to having outstanding warrants in multiple U.S. states.”

Their next single, “When the Lightning Comes,” will be released to radio to coincide with the tour.

“The album is well produced, nicely arranged and demonstrates how the band, at least, tries to push for a variety of sounds, as the group settles into a nice little groove.”—Mountain Times

July???

I hope you are all enjoying the start to summer.  I know time flies when we’re having fun, or even when we’re not having fun.  But I don’t like how fast it really is flying, and I don’t think I’d look at you funny if you told me you were starting your Christmas shopping.  Of course, it’s always nice to finish things in advance so you don’t have to do them later.  But at some point, it’s also important to be in the moment and enjoy what today has to offer….today.

And while I do like to share some philosophical thoughts going on in my head, I’d also like to share with you the great new music and/or tours of some incredible artists we’re promoting right now.  So thanks for listening and have a great month!

New Clients

Kevin Presbrey For several years, Chicago based Kevin Presbrey was the front man of Painkiller Hotel, a modern rock group inspired by guitar-fueled bands like Pearl Jam and Live. Now, he’s dialing back the clock with his solo debut, Dust Unto Dust, an Americana album that takes its cues from Jim Croce’s folk music, the Eagles’ country-tinged rock and Fleetwood Mac’s 1970s pop. www.reverbnation.com/kevinpresbrey
