Ah, fall is in
the air. There are days in September and
October here in Wisconsin where you have to turn the A/C on during the day and
the heat at night. But I love fall and
fall weather. I also love football, and
last night watched my beloved Giants blow it in Philly again, and we now have
lost eight of nine to our bitter rivals, the Eagles. We joke with Eagles’ fans that, hey, we have
four Super Bowl rings while you have none.
But losing to that team is no fun—it’s a pride thing and a rival thing
and one of the awesome things about organized team sports. But it’s also painful to be on the losing end
of that rivalry, and to top it off it was a night game, and I could fall asleep
for several hours afterward. I suspect
the baseball playoffs will keep me up late this month as well.
But hey, this
isn’t about sports! It’s about music,
and we have some great things happening in October and over the next few months…..

of some of Olney's classic catalog and several new tunes. The three recordings complete
